Review: It is very rare that I find the second book in a series to be better than the first. Typically, I find the first book to be exciting and the following installments to just be an extension of the story. However, Storm Revealed is even better than part one. Readers continue to follow Lexi and Storm through their blossoming relationship and the trials that they face. I definitely enjoyed the character development of Lexi more in this installment. She learns to appreciate the culture of those on Vaarda and begins to see the world through their eyes. Lexi also takes a step back and views Storm in a different light as she begins to understand more about his past and everything he has endured. Storm begins to reveal more about himself and his people to Lexi, which makes him an even more lovable character. One aspect of the plot that really separates this series from others within the romance genre is that we get to know each character very well and their romantic relationship is an added bonus. Although Storm and Lexi's relationship is an integral aspect of the plot, there is so much more than just steamy sex scenes. The adventures that they each go on contributes so much to the reading immersion. Again, I found myself reading so quickly through this book, not because it was an easy read, but because I couldn't stop turning the pages. I wanted to know what was going to happen next! I found the writing to be more developed in this installment, but that may have been due to the character development. Although I did receive an advanced reader's copy, the editing was much better in this book than the first one.
Recommendation: I recommend this to anyone who was on the fence about the first book, it definitely gets even better! I also recommend the series to those who enjoy fantasy and a high level of reading immersion.
