Review: This is the second book of the Crossfire series that follows Eva and Gideon. This installment really illustrated their desire for one another despite the difficulties that their relationship endures. We get to know more about the demons that they both face alone that leads to the jealousy that festers in their relationship with one another. I think that this book in particular illustrates how dangerous intense passion can become when there is jealousy and envy dividing the persons within the relationship. Although I think this series has so much to offer, I honestly enjoy reading it for its high level of steaminess and the lust that Eva and Gideon have for one another. I also enjoy the fantasy of the high income life style and all of the luxuries that it can bring. I think that Day portrays this lifestyle in a very alluring light as she creates a world where neither one of her characters want for anything. However, it doesn't matter that they both have all of the materialistic items they want because their personal problems keep them from having a healthy relationship. The connection that these two characters have is unbreakable though since they fight so hard for one another. I recommend this to anyone looking to obviously continue the series because it only gets better, as well as to anyone looking for a hot romance with great characters.
Book Description: "Gideon Cross. As beautiful and flawless on the outside as he was damaged and tormented on the inside. He was a bright, scorching flame that singed me with the darkest of pleasures. I couldn't stay away. I didn't want to. He was my addiction... my every desire... mine. My past was as violent as his, and I was just as broken. We’d never work. It was too hard, too painful... except when it was perfect. Those moments when the driving hunger and desperate love were the most exquisite insanity. We were bound by our need. And our passion would take us beyond our limits to the sweetest, sharpest edge of obsession..."
