Dorian Gallagher is a dick and much to his displeasure I’m sure, I’m a bitch. He follows me back to my room. “Dorian go ahead and take your shirt off and get comfortable. I’ll be back in just a moment.”
I walk from the room and head down the hall. “Al, you bastard you took my last gloves and didn’t refill them.”
“Get over it. You comin’ out tonight?” Al asks with a laugh.
“Don’t know depends on how long this session runs. I call and let you know.” I grab my gloves then turn back to my room.
“Sounds good. See you later.”
“Bye.” I say right before I walk back into the room. Dorian is already seated and waiting. His virgin back is calling to me. “Sorry about that. I like to listen to music while I work is that cool with you?”
“It’s fine by me.”
I turn the radio on and its set to a classic rock station. Then I go about getting gloves on. I run a hand over his back and thanking Christ I don’t have shave him. Then I spray him down, so I can transfer the drawing from the paper to the skin.
“Charlie baby. We’re leaving and locking up behind us.” Pop says from the door.
“Sure, thing Pop. Oh, there should be a guy in the waiting room he’s with this one. So, he’s fine.”
Pop nods his head. “Be careful heading home or are you going out with Al tonight?”
“I’m always careful and not sure depends on how this goes.”
Pop chuckles. “Later Charlie.”
“Bye Pop.” I shake my head “Again sorry about that.”
“No problem at all. So, this is a family run place.”
“Yep. Pop walks around looking pretty. Momma handles the paperwork. My brother handles piercings and I’ve got this.”
“Seems like a tight gig.”
“It pays the bills and I didn’t have to wait for years to get my own chair.”
“How long have you been doing this?” Dorian asks.
I remove the paper from him skin. “Started right out of high school. I got an art degree, but I was already tatting people including myself by the time I was eighteen.”
“Well from what I’ve seen you’re very good at it.”
Okay maybe not so much of a dick. “Thank you. I want to get the outlining done today. I can try for more but don’t want it to be too much for you.”
“That’s fine but we can set up for, tomorrow right?”
“Yes of course.”
I shut my machine off then wipe Dorian down. “You want to look at it before I wrap you up?”
“Follow me.” I say getting up and heading into the hall where there’s a floor length mirror on one wall and a smaller mirror up high on the other wall.
He looks his back over then raises a brow and looks at me. “You do good work.”
“Thanks. Let’s get you wrapped up.”
Dorian follows me back into my room and raises his arms above his head. I grab the Vaseline from my table and rub it all over his back. Dorian moans then clear his throat. After I finish with the Vaseline I strip the gloves and grab the cellophane.
“I just need to wrap you now then we can set you up with another appointment.”
I get him wrapped and accidently graze him with my boobs to his abdomen a couple times. I look him over one last time. “Do you need help with your shirt?”
“No, I got it thank you.”
“Well then if you’d follow me out front we can set you up then let you get on with your night.”
“Okay.” Dorian says getting his shirt on then follows me out front.
I sit down at the desk waking the computer up to check the schedule. “Do you have a certain time that works better for you?”
“Nope, not doing anything tomorrow.”
“Looks like I’m free starting at five again. Do you want it or should I look for you next week?”
“No, that’s fine.”
“It will be much like tonight but I’m thinking I work till one we can have you finished up tomorrow.”
“Wow that fast.”
“I’m the only one that does tattoos here I’ve learned how to do them right and in less time than it takes some idiots out there.”
Dorian chuckles and nods his head. The other guy that came in with him I’ve learned his name is Connor comes walking over to us. “I know it’s late and whatnot, but you know any place we can get some food and that’s decent.”
“You’re a local you should know the good spots.”
“I’d say Paula Dean’s but it closed up hours ago but Margie’s is around the corner and down two streets best surf and turf around.”
Dorian nods his head and walks to the door then Connor speaks. “Would you like to join us?”
Dorian turns to look at us. “Yeah, let me buy you a beer.”
“Um I can probably do a drink but I’m more of a whiskey girl then a beer.”
“Whiskey it is.” Connor says.
“Let’s go, I’m starving.” Dorian says.
I shut everything down then grab my purse walking over to the door. “We’ve got twenty seconds to be out these doors and have them locked or I’ve got to wait another ten minutes.”
“Come on let’s go.” Dorian says again.
I press the buttons and we all get out the door and I have them locked with three seconds to spare. “Do y’all want to follow me?”
Dorian pauses before finally speaking. “Yea that works.”
“Alrighty.” I say walking off from them and heading to the truck.
It takes all of five minutes to leave my parking spot at the shop to park at Margie’s. I get out of my truck and wait at the doors for Dorian and Connor. Connor pulls the door open for me. “Aren’t you just a gentleman. Thank you.”
We walk in and everyone stops for a second and looks before going back to doing what they were doing. “Grab that seat over there and I grab someone to get us a drink.”
Connor pushes Dorian in the direction of a table. Al stops me as I let one of the girls know I need them to get us a few drinks just not sure what yet.
“What are you doing here with them?” Al nods towards the table.
“Chill they offered me a drink. They’re too pretty for anything to ever happen.” I say with a roll of my eye then kiss him on the cheek before heading to the table. I sit down. “Meg should be here in a minute to take your order.”
“Can we feed you? Are you hungry?” Dorian asks.
“Pretty sure I’ve been feeding myself for years but thanks anyways.”
Dorian looks at me like I have two heads. “So, is that a no to dinner.”
“Yeah it is. If I eat here I’ll drink too much and have to leave my truck. That sure as fuck isn’t happening.”
“You can’t eat without drinking?” Connor asks.
I turn my head to the left then to the right. “Put it this way if I stay to long then there will be a bet on the table that I can’t out drink somebody. I make good money on those bets, but I have to finish someone’s art tomorrow.”
Dorian shrugs his shoulders. “Okay whatever.”
“Order whatever you want you won’t be disappointed.” I say as Meg steps up to the table.
“What can I get you folks?”
Connor orders a club soda with steak and scallops. Dorian orders sampler and a red stripe. I ordered my usual with a whiskey.
“Mark’s looking for you. Should I tell him you have company already tonight?” she says suggestively.
“Uh I’ll see him before I leave.” I push Meg on.
I turn to look back at the guys. “So, have you lived here your whole life?” Connor asks.
“Born and raised.”
“How can you stand it? I’ve been here two days and I’m losing my mind.”
“This is home. Home is how you stand it? Have you never had a place you just felt safe?” Dorian looks at Connor. “Connor is your home? That’s sweet.”
Connor nearly chokes on his club soda before spitting it out. “I think you’re getting the wrong impression.”
Dorian looks at Connor then at me. “Oh no I’m not a fag. Connor’s my body guard.”
I smirk. “My bad.” Dorian downs more of his beer. “Connor tell me about you.”
“I’ve been with the Gallagher family for about ten years taking care of this pup.”
“So, if I guessed you’re in your later thirties.”
“You’re sweet.” Connor says looking at Dorian. “Once he inherited the keys to the kingdom. My job got to be a bit more interesting.”
They both look at me surprised and confused. “You’ve never heard of Gallagher’s Galaxy Fun Park?” Dorian asks.
“Is that a crime?”
“Yeah considering they are building one about twenty minutes up the road.” Conner says.
“There’s a lot about twenty minutes up the road sweet cheeks.”
Connor shakes his head and Dorian looks at him then asks. “You alright?”
Connor clears his throat and fixes his jacket. “Quiet fine.”
“I think Connor might be feeling a tad old.”
“Yep, I’m going to be here for the next year building it.”
“Sound uh like fun.” I finish my drink. “So, it’s been nice guys, but I think it’s time I get on.”
Dorian looks at me. “See you tomorrow.”
“You got it.”
I stand and tap the table. I make the quick walk to Al and the boys. We all chat for a few minutes then I either get kiss or hug from all of them. I grab my food from Meg and start digging in my purse looking for my keys. I run into someone not paying attention where I was going. Then I hear it that whine and then a clatter. I pull back then look up seeing Dorian. I duck under his arm and bend over pick up his phone that’s now in pieces.
I stand up and turn towards Dorian biting my lip. “I’m so sorry.”
Dorian looks at me taking his phone. “You really are a disaster area, aren’t you?”
“I didn’t fuck up your back. Look I’m sorry I was looking for my keys.”
“You couldn’t manage to run me off the road, but you smashed my fucking phone. You know whatever, goodnight.”
Dorian picks me up and moves me. “You self-righteous dick. Quit getting your panties in a twist. If you wouldn’t have stopped I wouldn’t have ran into you.” I shout after him.
“See you tomorrow.”
Connor mouths I’m sorry and I wave him off. I get into the truck and apparently, I left my keys in here. I peel out of the parking lot and take off down the road.
